This free, interactive course is designed to help healthcare workers better understand the scope and nature of violence in the workplace. Upon successful completion of the course, healthcare professionals can earn continuing education units.

Active Shooter Preparedness

Anti-Harassment Training for Employees

This training defines inappropriate behavior and unlawful harassment in the workplace. It provides strategies on how to recognize harassment, prevent harassment, and how appropriately report harassment. This course includes Abusive Workplace Conduct Prevention to meet the one-hour training requirement.

NOTE: Separate training courses are available for each of the states in which anti-harassment training is required.

Back Injury Prevention

This training will go over proper lifting techniques that will help employees avoid injury. It also covers back anatomy basics and best practices for safer lifts. The time to complete is 10-15 minutes.

Basic First Aid Awareness

This training covers basic first-responder techniques designed to keep people safe and alive until EMS arrives to take over. It includes information on many different emergencies, such as heart attack, choking, or burns, and the appropriate responses for them, including CPR. A quiz is included. The time to complete is 15 minutes.

Bloodborne Pathogens

Conducting Effective Interviews Self-Evaluation Tool

This self-evaluation tool is for individuals to review their interviewing process and technique. It is designed to be taken 30-90 days after completing the Conducting Effective Interviews training and only after conducting one or more interviews since course completion. The time to complete is 5 minutes.

COVID-19 – General Awareness Training

This general awareness course on COVID-19 covers tips on how to reduce the risk of contracting the virus by using best practices. In addition, the course covers COVID-19 characteristics and related health and safety concerns. Time to complete: 5-10 minutes.

Data Privacy and Information Security

This training addresses the importance of data privacy and information security for businesses. Topics covered include protecting PHI, working with confidential information, physical safeguards, types of cyber risks and how to prevent them, protecting company assets, and reporting incidents. The time to complete is 35-40 minutes.

Discipline on the Job

This training discusses techniques and considerations for enforcing and communicating expectations regarding organization policies and procedures. It includes information on manager responsibilities, the investigation and Progressive Discipline processes, good communication skills, legal considerations, and documentation requirements. A quiz is included. Estimated completion time: 5-15 minutes.

Drug-Free Workplace: Reasonable Suspicion Testing

This training outlines the reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing process which includes observation and documentation of employee behavior, confronting an employee for consent to a drug test, and managing test results. It also provides a high-level overview of drug use symptoms in employees, along with doing’s and don’ts during confrontations. The time to complete is 30 minutes.

Drug-Free Workplace: Drug-Free Workplace Programs

This training provides an overview of the elements of a Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Program. It addresses policies, training requirements, drug testing protocols, and best practices to consider when developing a Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Program. The time to complete is 15 minutes.

Electrical Safety Awareness
